Lets talk man to man.......

Hi, my name is Roger Goldsmith and you may recognise me from running the Corringham Hall. ( I had hair then)

So how do I know that 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer, because I am one of the eight. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer several months ago, and am currently undergoing Chemotherapy, and possibly radio therapy and other treatments.

Having spoken to numerous doctors, consultants and nurses, I found out that not only is early diagnosis imperitive, but it only requires a simple blood test for prostate specific antigen. (PSA Test) All men over 50 years of age should have an annual PSA test, simply ask your doctor for a PSA test, even if you have no symptoms.

So why am I putting my story on the web site? Well I realised that I have the means to help Prostrate Cancer UK with their awareness campaign by organising a fundraising event. 100% of all money raised from ticket sales, raffles, games or donations will go to Prostate Cancer UK so that they can make more men aware of the need to get checked out and stay healthy.

I would love to make this fund raising event the talk of the town, so I would ask all the people of Corringham & Stanford to please support us either by purchasing tickets for the show,  donating a prize for the raffles or donating money directly to Prostate Cancer UK. (Click HERE)
